Chas Smith creates great sometimes clangorous sounds using large sculptural instruments made of various metals, steel guitar, the recorded sounds of jet engines, and three-neck steel guitar prepared with metal rods and played with dulcimer hammers.
Smith's Endless Mardi Gras was featured in the 2008 CLUI photoscape exhibit Birdfoot: Where America's River Dissolves into the Sea.
